Founder and Chief Innovation Officer
As Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of trumacro™ Nutrition, Mike is a serial entrepreneur who has founded six nutrition companies since graduating college in 2001. He was a pioneer in direct-to-consumer retailing, starting his first Internet business in 2002. Companies he has grown into multi-million dollar brands include Scivation and PrimaForce. Mike is also passionate about advancing disease research and developing supplements that can potentially benefit patients. He became interested in the connection between diet and cancer after his mother was diagnosed in 2011. Mike holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Founder and CEO
As Founder and CEO of trumacro™ Nutrition, Mike brings nearly 20 years of combined experience in the retail and consumer products industries. He is recognized as an innovative, creative, and inspirational executive with proven results in marketing, merchandising, sales, and operations. Mike spent more than 12 years at Target Corporation, where he led merchandising strategies for beauty, baby, household, and grocery. Prior to that, Mike spent 6 years at Hallmark in consumer research, marketing, brand management and retail development. Mike received his BA from Carleton College and took PhD courses at Brown University.
Founder and CFO
As Founder and CFO of trumacro™ Nutrition, Brian brings more than 24 years of experience in finance and management to the company. Prior to Disruptive Enterprises, he served as CFO of Scivation and PrimaForce, where he was able to combine his education and experience with his passion for health and wellness. During his tenure, he guided both brands from start-ups to multi-million dollar entities. Brian began his career as Controller of Cedar America in 1993 after earning his BA from The Ohio State University. He earned his CPA certification in 1999.
As President of trumacro™ Nutrition, Lee brings 15 years of experience launching, growing, and transforming businesses to compete in the digital and physical marketplace. His experience includes leading Fortune 50 retail and healthcare businesses, launching multiple successful start-ups, and working in leadership for multiple non-profits and boards. His passions include building high performing teams, driving performance/results, and creating a work environment that fosters excellence, fun, and positive momentum. Lee holds a BA from Samford University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
Chief Science Officer
Donna Herber, PhD, joined trumacro™ Nutrition as Chief Science Officer in 2015. As CSO, Dr. Herber is responsible for new product development for meals, medical foods, and dietary supplements from ingredient characterization, through formulation and clinical evaluation, and transfer over to manufacturing. She has 25 years of experience in medical science research and product development, in both academic and industrial settings. Dr. Herber’s research experience includes tumor immunology, Alzheimer’s disease, and pharmaceutical product development. She earned a doctorate in medical sciences from the University of South Florida, and completed her BS in Biology at Jacksonville University.
Chief Marketing Officer
As Chief Marketing Officer of trumacro™ Nutrition, Todd brings more than 25 years of marketing leadership from companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Rohto Pharmaceuticals, and Spectrum Brands. He excels at developing and executing strategies that strengthen brand reputation and awareness, expanding distribution, increasing market share, and delivering profitable growth. His experience covers CPG, OTC, pet, nutrition, skincare, and health & wellness industries, and includes big box retailers, grocery, specialty, DRTV, and eCommerce. Todd earned his BS in Marketing from the University of Tampa.
